Quarry Museums
Quarry museums have been established in many parts of the UK. They hold collections of historic machinery and provide displays demonstrating quarrying products, methods and tools. These can be invaluable, both in providing information, and also illustrative material. Most are listed in the annual NAMHO Mining Heritage Guide, published by the National Association of Mining History Organizations. A full list is maintained by the National Stone Centre.
