How do I join?
The Membership section of this web site contains a downloadable application form, along with detailed information on applications, grades, etc.
Membership application forms can also be obtained through local branches, national offices, or Institute stands at exhibitions such as the Hillhead show in the UK or Kuari Asia in Malaysia. The officers and staff concerned will be pleased to hear from you and also will be able to help recommend members to act as supporters of the application, as well as supplying information on Institute activities in your area.
The application form itself asks for details of your qualifications (if any), experience and responsibilities in the industry. This information determines the grade of membership which you will be accorded.
The corporate grades of Member and Fellow are reserved for those with approved qualifications who have hed a position of responsibility within the industry for several years. Applicants without qualifications or sufficient managerial experience, including those working towards qualifications or gaining experience, are given the grade of Associate.
