The Institute of Quarrying are pleased to welcome our two newest members to our Board of Trustees.Strengthening our existing members of the Board are Martin Riley, Senior Vice President and Kim Shilcock, Quarry Manager both of Tarmac.
Martin Riley has over thirty years experience in the construction and quarrying sectors, from his beginnings as an apprentice to Managing Director, General Manager, Executive Director and Board level roles. His experience includes operational leadership of large scale quarrying businesses and organisational change.
Kim Shilcock brings with him over 40 years of quarry management experience through first-hand experience in operator, supervisory and management roles across a variety of sites, these include Hardstone Quarries, Sand and Gravel, Wharves and Limestone. Kim is a former Chair of IQ’s Derbyshire Branch, with whom he continues to play a key role. Dr Miles Watkins, IQ Chairman said:
“Diversity of experience across our Board members is important for the Institute to grow and prosper for its members. Within that direct sector experience in both executive and operational capacities is vital to ensure the relevance of our efforts. I am delighted to welcome Martin and Kim to join me and the other board members steer the Institute toward a very bright future.”
