QNJAC (Quarries National Joint Advisory Committee) is focused on promoting the health and safety in all sectors of the quarrying and associated industries, with a firm commitment to striving towards making the industry a safer place, through the raising of training standards and competence. Its underlying purpose is to debate and develop health and safety policies along with implementation strategies to complement these.

To help it achieve its goals approved guidance documents are made available to all through the contribution of industry experts and working groups, who are committed to playing their part in achieving the same objectives.

With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the launch of the newly designed QNJAC website, available at which compliments and runs alongside our new App providing a valuable resource of FREE approved guidance, toolbox talks and information for the quarries, extractives and mineral products industry.

The App truly embraces the concept of workforce engagement, providing a wealth of easily accessible, approved content in a simple, easy to use format.

Following the initial download, essential information contained within the App is available offline, addressing the common issue of lack of data connectivity onsite and providing the ability to access important health and safety guidance on the go, even if there is no mobile data signal or WiFi connection available.

To maintain familiarity to existing users of the valuable QNJAC resources, the historic subcategories of guidance have been preserved on both the App and new website.

To add to the Apps usefulness, additional features such as the ‘Events Form‘ have been made available, providing a report/reminder function, which also supports up to three images, the option is available to either save this locally on the device for future editing or email this to an address of the users choosing.

You can download the new QNJAC App from the Google Play or Apple App store now. You can also visit us at or connect with us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
