'Sand and Gravel Production' was first published in 1990 and proved to be the most popular handbook having sold nearly 2000 copies. It was revised and up-dated by Andy Littler, the original author, in 2001. The principal changes related to ripping, wet working by hydraulic excavators, scrubbers and log-washers, bucket wheel classifiers and de-slimers, control of classifiers and filter presses.
