Yorkshire Branch are holding their AGM followed by a presentation by former Branch Chairman, Graham Lamond, entitled “Starting from scratch - Building a quarry business in Togo, West Africa” Graham will give an account of his experiences spending 3 years in Togo to develop a green field aggregates business. How to go to a foreign country, not speaking the language, develop a quarry in the bush and then open up a 2 million tonnes a year limestone quarry on the site… and what happened along the way...
