Risk Assessment - Asking Better Questions

Synopsis:

Traditionally risk assessments have been completed by organisation using templates with a  3 X 3 or a 5 X 5 matrix. In this talk, Colin Nottage, will talk about how risk isn’t linear and the best approach to assessing risk could be to ditch the template and good into the workplace and ask some better questions.

Speaker Bio:

Colin NottageColin Nottage, has worked within the fields of health, safety, quality and environmental management for over 25 years. After having run large health and safety departments in major industry he established his consultancy in 2006 (and re-branded as IMG in 2012). His philosophy is straightforward, keep things simple and interact fully with the people doing the work.

Colin has a post graduate certificate in safety and risk management, is a chartered member of IOSH. He is a PTLLS, IOSH and CIEH qualified trainer. He is a tutor for Strathclyde University in Safety and Risk Management and is a member of both the HSE led Construction and Quarries Partnership Teams on dust a Chairman for the Construction Dust Partnership and a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying
