The Institute of Quarrying (IQ) is proud to announce its return as a strategic partner of The Mining Show 2026, one of the MENA region’s leading events for the mining and quarrying industries.
Taking place from 16 to 17 November 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates, the event will bring together professionals from across the mining value chain to exchange knowledge, explore emerging technologies and discuss the opportunities shaping the future of the sector.
Building on the success of its partnership in 2025, IQ will once again support the event as a strategic partner, reinforcing the Institute’s commitment to advancing professional standards, technical knowledge and workforce development across the international mining and quarrying community.
The 2026 event is expected to welcome more than 5,500 attendees, 300 exhibitors and 150 expert speakers, providing a major platform for networking, professional learning and the exchange of ideas. The exhibition and conference will represent the full mining value chain, from exploration and operations to investment, technology and industry transformation.
Julian Smallshaw, IQ Head of Education and Standards, comments:
“We are delighted that IQ will return as a strategic partner of The Mining Show in 2026. This continued partnership reflects our commitment to supporting professionals and organisations across the international mining and quarrying sectors.
“The event provides an important opportunity to share knowledge, build new connections and demonstrate how education, training and professional membership can help individuals and businesses respond to the challenges and opportunities facing our industries. We look forward to contributing to the Next Gen Quarrying Theatre and supporting conversations that will help develop the skills, knowledge and professional standards needed for the sector’s future.”
Representing IQ at the event will be Frederico Almeida, IQ Digital Futures Specialist; Alison Godfrey, IQ Membership Manager; and Javier Munoz, IQ Honorary Vice President.
Visitors can meet the team at stand SSH2-A83, where they can learn more about IQ’s internationally recognised membership, professional development opportunities, training and qualifications.
Alongside meeting delegates on the stand, Frederico, Alison and Javier will contribute to the programme at the Next Gen Quarrying Theatre, leading presentations, fireside chats and professional discussions. Their sessions will provide opportunities to exchange knowledge, examine the issues influencing the sector and explore how professional development can support the next generation of mining and quarrying professionals.
IQ’s presence throughout the event will highlight the Institute’s work to support skills, safety, sustainability and professional excellence, while demonstrating the value of belonging to an international community of minerals professionals.
The wider event programme will feature expert-led panel discussions, interviews and workshops exploring subjects including workforce development, operational excellence, digital transformation, investment, emerging technologies and the transition towards more sustainable mining operations.
