Members of the Institute of Quarrying (IQ) attending Hillhead are encouraged to say hello to the membership body at stand location RB26 and bring along a friend or colleague for the chance to walk away with an array of exclusive goodies.
IQ pledged its support to the industry at its ‘Inspiring for Generations’ centenary conference last year, with an ambition to boost membership to over 5,000 by 2021. Members who introduce a friend or colleague on the stand at Hillhead and who sign up to membership will receive exclusive centenary commemorative items. New members will also receive advice on career progression, as well as a copy of Environmental Management – a long standing, respected reference text that is a valuable resource for anyone in the quarrying industry.
James Thorne, CEO IQ, says: “Hillhead is one of those relatively rare occasions these days where you get to meet people face-to-face. That makes it the perfect platform to talk about the importance of continuing professional development and the many benefits of IQ membership. And we’ve got a range of incentives for anyone signing up at the show.
“We will be on the stand throughout the three days of Hillhead and look forward to saying hello to faces old and new, whilst advising the latest membership and skills developments available. We hope to see many of you there.”
The IQ stand (location RB26) is at the heart of the registration area. As well as rewards for existing members and new members, raffle tickets will also be handed to those who show their membership card to staff, with a range of IQ branded merchandise up for grabs.
IQ is also sponsoring the new online planning tool ‘Engage’, which has been introduced by Hillhead organisers to help visitors more effectively plan their time. The easy to use web tool helps the visitor to build a wish list of exhibitors to visit, along with the option to pre-book appointments and makes recommendations of ‘not to be missed’ show features right at the visitor’s fingertips.
With more than 500 exhibitors and thousands of visitors confirmed, Hillhead is now sold out and runs for three days from 26-28 June at Hillhead Quarry, Buxton.
