The Yorkshire Branch invites members and industry colleagues to an engaging AGM and technical panel event bringing together leading experts from across the quarrying, regulatory, planning, sustainability landscape, aggregates and landfill tax.
This year’s session focuses on the major forces shaping our sector - from HSE priorities and industry trends, to planning challenges and the rapid rise of sustainable and alternative materials.
Attendees will hear concise updates from specialists representing health and safety, mineral planning, operational leadership, and materials innovation. Each topic will be explored through a panel format designed to encourage open discussion, practical insight, and real‑world examples. With dedicated Q&A throughout, participants will have the opportunity to put questions directly to the panel and share experiences from their own operations.
The event forms part of the Branch AGM, offering members the chance to contribute to branch business before joining a forward‑looking technical session that supports CPD and strengthens professional networks. Whether you’re focused on compliance, operational improvement, future planning, or sustainable material strategies, this is a valuable opportunity to stay informed and connected within the Yorkshire quarrying community.
Please register your attendance by emailing Debbie White, debbie.white@quarrying.org with the date and/or event title.
As well as registering for the event members can and are encouraged to send questions to our experts before the event, this will give the panel a good opportunity to ensure the best possible response. Please send all questions to yorkshirebranch@quarrying.org prior to the event.
Ad hoc questions will no doubt be asked and answered on the night due to the nature of the topics covered.
