Description
The next Scottish branch event is a joint meeting with IOMMM on the the UK Governments approach to minerals and mining. Chris Lofthouse, Responsible Mining Lead, Department of Business and Trade will be leading the discussion on the new UK critical Mineral Strategy which was published in November 2025.

The strategy sets out the UK's vision for securing the critical minerals it needs by harnessing the UK's competitive advantage in mainstream processing and recycling. The presentation will also cover some of the opportunities and recent activity closer to home in Scotland.

This is a joint IOMMM and IQ meeting with an 18.00hr start time, followed by a buffet supper.
