IQ Yorkshire - Site Visit to Mone Bros CDE Washing Plant in Bramhope, Leeds
Description
A visit to Mone Bros Bramhope Wash Plant which was officially opened on the 22nd March 2024 by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Al Garthwaite.
Since then the Wash Plant has produced over 100,000 tonnes of recycled materials operating 5 days a week and on average 9hrs a day.
The water required used throughout the whole washing process is not lost; it is captured and is recycled to be used again and again to wash the next loads of input material. Any topping up of water is very minor and the source of this water is from a borehole located adjacent to the Wash Plant.
The plant is to feature in the October edition of Quarry Management, we are very grateful to Mone Bros for allowing the Branch to visit their newest investment.
Numbers are limited to a total of 10. Please wear full PPE.
